Technology
Discover an entire campus wired for connectivity and a curriculum designed to encourage learning everywhere, anytime. A high speed fiber-optic network links all the buildings on campus. All students are provided with a McAuley email address and space on the network to store their files.
Catherine McAuley High School’s students and staff members each are issued a Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad laptop and have access to outstanding peripheral devices, including LCD projectors, color printers, sympodiums, and digital cameras. McAuley’s technology staff supports faculty, administrators, and students in their efforts to intelligently and ethically incorporate technology into all aspects of their education and work.
Our state-of-the-art computer lab hosts new desktop computers with 17” flat screen monitors and a Sypodium. The lab is used before and during school for independent student work and class lessons and projects. Students are also able to collaborate on 15 computers in the Library.
Eight classrooms primarily in Science, Math and Foreign Languages are equipped with a SMARTboard, a digital whiteboard that allows teachers and students to save and distribute classroom notes in an electronic format, to display their on-line syllabi and resources to students, to show films and documentaries, and to make presentations. As a result of this high-quality technology program, McAuley students and staff can communicate quickly and efficiently, draw on resources from around the world, and use the technology as a tool to enhance teaching, learning, and institutional management.
