Major Gifts

The Field of Dreams is complete -- no longer a dream, but a sports complex for McAuley students to celebrate and enjoy for years to come. Excitement abounded throughout campus when the girls put on their uniforms and played for the first time at home.

Although the Fields are complete, the fundraising continues through an effort to build a brick walkway into the Field. Be sure to watch for more information on this project.

We thank our many faithful and generous friends and invite others to share the vision. For more information and to contribute, email eileen.brown@mcauleyhs.org or call 797-3802 ext. 2018.

Eileen Veroneau Brown ’83, Director of Advancement at Catherine McAuley High School, recently announced the donation of a $175, 000 gift to the McAuley community, a gift that will assist in the funding of the School’s new “Women in Engineering” initiative (Pre-engineering / Math Program) and the QualityCore ACT Instructional Improvement Program over the course of the next four years.  The contribution comes as a gift from Dennis and Amanda Coulombe, parents of Alexa ’12 and Lauren ’14 and supporters of the academic, social and spiritual environment that McAuley affords all young women.

“On behalf of Catherine McAuley High School, I would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Coulombe for their generous contribution.  With significant donations like these, McAuley will be positioned to heighten its educational excellence and reinforce its place as a frontrunner in education. This commitment highlights Mr. and Mrs. Coulombe’s support and confidence in the mission and core values of the School community.”

The generosity of their donation will strengthen McAuley’s existing partnership with the University of Maine’s acclaimed College of Engineering and will promote an unparalleled math and science program that will increase the visibility of women in the engineering profession.  The gift will also fund the implementation of the ACT QualityCore Program, an endeavor to ensure that courses are content and skill-focused for college and workplace readiness.
