Congratulations to McAuley senior, Alexa Coulombe, who was recently named Miss Maine Basketball at the 2012 Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star banquet.

According to the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches, “The Miss Basketball Award is presented each year to the senior player who has exhibited outstanding skills throughout her career, has made a significant impact on her team, has demonstrated respect for the game through leadership on and off the court, has epitomized the values of sportsmanship and has been a positive school and community citizen.”

Kudos to you, Alexa, on this deserving honor!

2012 Class A State Basketball Champions!

Congratulations to the Catherine McAuley Basketball Team who, on Saturday night, February 25, won the Western Class A Championship Basketball Tournament game against number two ranked Scarborough High School! The Lions will now go on to compete for the Class A State Championship for the second year in a row this Saturday night at 4:00 pm at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland. The Lions will face Cony, who, like McAuley, went undefeated this season with a 21-0 record.
