Brigid Franey (Chemistry):

Brigid Franey grew up in Lexington, KY and is a graduate of St. Olaf College and Smith College (M.Ed.). Before coming to McAuley, Franey worked for Ferry Beach Ecology School as a staff naturalist, taught in both first and fourth-grade classrooms, and explored topics in teaching pre-college philosophy and creating classroom communities. For pastimes, Franey enjoys running marathons and gardening.

Tina Stalker (French):

Tina Stalker graduated from the University of Southern Maine this past May with a B.A. in French. A native of Connecticut, Stalker worked for Thierry Mugler, a French perfume designer, before becoming an educator. She and her husband are the proud parents of Sierra, 12, and Christian, 8. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, and traveling.

Jola Grodzka (Math):

Jola Grodzka, originally from Poland, received her M.S. in statistics and spent five years working as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher. When she and her husband are not spending time with their two children, she can be found walking, painting, or cooking.

Patricia Cole (English)

Patricia Cole taught at McAuley for 23 years before retiring in 2004. Now out of retirement, Cole is excited to be back in the classroom working with students, her true passion. She and her husband, Ron, raised two girls and are now loving grandparents to Dorothy, Bethany, and Molly.

Nathalie Romero (Spanish):

Nathalie Romero was born in Formosa, Argentina and studied at the Instituto Superior de Lenguas at the National University of Asuncion in Paraguay. While in Paraguay, she taught English at numerous private and public schools and was a sponsored exchange Spanish teacher at West Gardiner and Randolph Elementary Schools. Most recently, Romero taught Spanish at the Penobscot School in Rockland, where her students ranged in age from five to seventy.
