The grant, “Picturing America,” is part of We the People, the flagship initiative of the National Endowment of the Humanities, in cooperation with the American Library Association. “Picturing America” brings forty of our nation’s most significant images into classrooms nationwide, thus encouraging an understanding and appreciation of American history, philosophy, religion, architecture, and literature.
Ms. Ponzetti was one of eight recipients in the greater Portland area to experience this honor. These visuals will be incorporated into Ms. Ponzetti’s curriculum as a means to keep humanities education thriving.
