Winter Carnival 2008!

The entire McAuley community is invited to take part in the 2008 Winter Carnival festivities, which are scheduled to begin Monday, December 8.  Highlighted below is a listing of the week’s events and activities:

Monday, December 8

‘Homeroom Door Decorating Contest’ begins

Wednesday, December 10

Night Tubing at Seacoast Fun Park — 6:00-8:00 PM

Thursday, December 11

‘Gingerbread House Contest’ — 3:00-6:00 PM

Gingerbread Houses displayed — 6:00 PM

Christmas Concert — 7:00 PM

*Concert goers vote on the best Gingerbread House.  Contestants are asked to provide their own materials.  Group or single-entry participants will be accepted and are asked to pre-register by December 8. *

Friday, December 12

Green and Gold Day / Pep Rally

A ‘Window Decorating Contest’ will begin after school between all four classes.

Poster making will be held after school for the night’s basketball game.

McAuley Basketball vs. Cheverus with ‘Super Fan Contest’ — 7:00 PM

Saturday, December 13

Horse Drawn Carriage Rides — 10:30 AM-12:30 PM

Scavenger Hunt — 10:30 AM

Human Dog Sled Race — Noon

*Prizes will be awarded for best team costume and overall winner of the race.  Teams must pre-register by December 8.  Both students and faculty are invited to participate.*

Dodge-ball between classes — 1:00 PM

Inflatable Backyard Bounce — 10:30 AM-1:30 PM

Slap-shot Hockey / Penguin Snowball — 10:30 AM-1:30 PM

Winter Wonderland Dance — 7:30-10:30 PM
