Two McAuley Sophomores to Attend HOBY Conference

Congratulations to sophomores Allison Bonner and Dannielle Gladu, who have been selected to represent McAuley at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Program (HOBY) at the University of New England May 15-17, 2009.

Bonner and Gladu were selected on the basis of their commitment to volunteerism, integrity, academic and social excellence, diversity, and community partnership — all core values of the HOBY Program.

The HOBY Program, founded in 1958 by veteran actor and humanitarian Hugh O’Brian, seeks to “motivate and empower individuals to make a positive difference within our global society through understanding and action based on effective and compassionate leadership.”
