McAuley Community Completes Successful Service Project

During the week of December 15-19, the students, faculty, and staff of Catherine McAuley High School embarked on a school-wide service project to assist McAuley Residence, a transitional housing program for women (and their children) in crisis.
For the entire school week, personal toiletry items were collected and packed into Christmas stockings for holiday delivery. Eighteen stockings were filled for the residents, and four extra-large boxes were sent to fill the Residence’s storage closet.
Assisting those in need, especially women and children, is an important part of Catherine McAuley High School’s mission. This philosophy dates back to the 1800s, when Catherine McAuley herself opened the ‘House of Mercy’ in Dublin, Ireland for religious, educational, and social services for women and children.
Thank you to all who so generously donated to this worthy endeavor.
