Welcome Chilean Students

April 6th, 2008

Welcome Chilean StudentsMcAuley is hosting a fourth year of an Academic Foreign Exchange with a High School from Santiago de Chile: Colegio Juanita de los Andes. While at McAuley, the Chilean girls have their own schedules and attend school as part of the student body. The immersion helps them greatly improve their English and understand the United States culture. They, in turn, enrich our student body with their experiences and PowerPoint presentations about their country and culture. Friends are made all around. There are six girls living with host families at McAuley. Host families and Mrs. Dubreuil arrange a variety of activities and field trips for the students including City Tours of Portland, ski trip to Sugarloaf, a lobster dinner and trips to other Maine sites. It is a wonderful enriching experience for all involved, and life-changing for many. Please contact Mrs. Dubreuil if you have any questions or comments.
